Taryn Sermon

Taryn is a Speech Pathologist who is passionate about helping children build confident communication and strong literacy skills. She completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Edith Cowan University and has undertaken additional training in Sounds-Write, PROMPT, Colourful Semantics and Word Aware, allowing her to provide evidence-based, engaging therapy tailored to each child’s needs.

Taryn has experience working with children with a range of complex communication needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Language Disorder, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. She has a special interest in speech sound disorders and early language and literacy.

Taryn is committed to creating holistic therapy plans and working collaboratively with families and educators to ensure that children make meaningful progress toward their communication goals in a positive, supportive and enjoyable environment.

Outside of work, you will find her having adventures her two kids — camping, bike riding, visiting museums or heading to the beach.
